Charity Cycle Run

The Central South Island Charity Bike Ride is an annual event with participants riding from Timaru → Kurow → Lake Tekapo Army Barracks → Timaru. It is an event for novices, amateurs, professionals and adventurers who are looking for a challenge whilst raising money for local charities to assist them with their support and education of individuals and families in the local community.

A Three Day Ride

The three day event, which is a RIDE and not a race, takes riders past Lake Benmore, Lake Pukaki and Lake Tekapo, taking in the superb scenery of the Central South Island region.

Starting from Timaru, cyclists ride to Waimate for lunch before setting out for the first nights stop at Kurow.
