 | 2000 Hours
|
Many
hours of restoration have pass to bring some vehicles back to original
condition. From old farm trucks to restored Army Vehicles they all have a
very interesting history. Many were obtained and used after the war as
transport on some of New Zealand's rugged outback blocks. |
 | The Jeep
|
A brand name even used today, but
very different from this War Jeep of yesteryear. From Gun carrier to
personal carrier the jeep has seen some action and taken many a brave man or
woman to places some vehicles would not have gone. |

 | Their
Clothes
|
From all countries, there is many
styles of War dress and protective clothing. Books and journals, water cans
and helmets. Spend some time, as there is much to see at the Tauwhare
Military Museum.

 | Gun
Collection
|
While some are not so sure of
this collection it is a reminder that we may never wish to see another war.
It shows what our brave forefathers used to defend their country and face in
times of attack, to give us the freedom this museum is a memorial to. |

Privately Owned |
Being privately owned museum means
that it must rely on a small entrance charge to grow and develop.
Group Tours are willingly arranged should you wish.
Some parts can also be available
through the network that the Tauwhare Military Museum is part of, for those
