Opo the friendly Dolphin, in 1955-56
gave lots of joy to many children by letting them ride on his back.
Sadly after being given protection by law
Opo was killed. Sculptor Russell Clark gifted
a status of Opo and a Child in his memory. |

relax cruising aboard Historic Scow, Alma.
Alma is a 78 ft long x 26ft wide.
Shallow draft enables her to explore the upper reaches of the
Hokianga River. |

The Opononi Shore's and the
Hokianga Harbour is an ideal place for Kayaking, fishing,
swimming and boating. Even Horse treks, guided tours and hunts. |

Well maintained tracks give access to
the well known giants of the forest.
Walks to the 1400 year old Tane Mahuta and the 2000 year old Te Matua Ngahere
are some of these great adventures back to Nature.
