Blenheim is the largest town on the Wairau Plains, known as the
"Sunshine Capital". Being part of the Marlborough region it is well known for

The climate favours good food and wine, that was
once grazing for the Sheep of this lush river valley. Now one can taste the fruits and

|
The history of the area is preserved, Cobb Cottage at Riverlands just
one of these sites. The Brayshaw Museum Park historic village will take you back in time,
where one of the largest collections of vintage Farm Machinery can be observed. A tour bus
may be the transport of today, taking you to the many attractions, but even now, one can
enjoy the history of Blenheim by horse and gig.

What river valley would not be complete without the
awesome action of a White Water Ride. Action in Marlborough, members of the New Zealand
Rafting Association, offer you that wet and wild experience. Join a day trip to the Gowan
River, New Zealand's fastest flowing river, or take the Buller River Experience.

 | Tranquil Walks
|
Walk the Withers, trekking in the Wither Hills Farm park
will give you the freedom to hike, bike or just amble your way through spectacular scenery
of the Wairau Plains. Stroll through the 50 hectare's of protected kanuka forest, where
beneath the 80 year old trees, other native dryland species like our Kowhai are
flourishing. |
 | Fine Gauge.

The 2ft gauge, Riverside Railway, departs Beaver Station
at the Brayshaw Museum, a true family tour of the area. While the Railway may be small the
Argosy, last of its kind in the world, is a giant twin boom aircraft that once flew the
Chatham Island service. Here one can awe the size and enjoy the Cafe and Bar, situated
just west of the Marlborough Airport. |
