Hospitality

A warm welcome and a reputation for relaxing hospitality is assured at Founders Guest Lodge. With warm woollen underlay, electric blankets, cotton bed linen, cotton blankets and soft light warm duvets, added to some excellent reading from a selection of magazines, your stay will be one to remember.

Log Fires

While all bedrooms open out onto the sunny veranda, the lounge is a great place to gather and chat about the day's activities over drinks and nibbles, with the log fire adding to the warm relaxing ambiance.

A TV lounge library is another cosy place to "tie a few Flies", relax with a book, catch up with the worlds news.

A great start

Breakfast is served in the warm and sunny dining room at a time to suit you. It includes fruit juices, fresh fruit, homemade muesli, yoghurts, fresh baked bread, local honey and jam, with a special cooked dish each morning. There's plenty of coffee and tea to ensure a great start to your trout fishing or sightseeing adventures.

Activities

Trout Fishing in both lake Taupo and several local rivers including the famous Tongariro can be very rewarding. Local Guides and fishing charters are available. Also an 18 hole golf course is only a few minutes down the road and for the more adventurous, tramping and Walking the fantastic Tongariro Crossing, an 8 hour tramp, is a must. Shorter walks and many other activities make Turangi the Adventure centre of New Zealand.
