 | Napier Marine Parade
|
Napier, the Port, the Sand and the Sea, has captured the atmosphere of a
seaside resort, with it's Marine Parade stretching along the shores. The vast Pacific
Ocean rolls in, while visitors stroll the Marine Parade admiring the beauty of the sunken
gardens, or while swimming with the Dolphins at Marineland Napier. |
 | Unique Art Deco
|
Flattened by the "Napier Earthquake" in February 1931,
was rebuilt during the 1930's giving it an Art Deco style, unique for a New Zealand City.
This more modern form of architecture not normally found in Hawke's Bays older
settlements, claims to have the most concentrated collection of Art Deco in the world.
