Although guided Tours only are aloud on Islands Like
Motuara, boaties will find many safe anchorage's around the Marlborough Sounds. Boat
Charters, like Compass Charters, offer a large range of vessels to choose from.
Self-drive or skippered charters are available and tuition provided if required, all to
make your floating holiday an experience of a life time. |
 | Magnificent Walks.

The Queen Charlotte track is well known as one of New
Zealand's Great Walks. Starting at Ships Cove, this walkway covers 67km's of majestic
views. New Zealand native bush, ferns, tree ferns, nikau palms, kamahi and beech forest
all line the track. Accommodation is available throughout the walk, which ranges from a
family stroll to challenging sections for the medium to fit. |

A visit to Picton would not be complete without a quiet
paddle around the shores. Sheltered bays and open channels make the sounds popular for
many water sports. Kayak's may be hired from the Marlborough Sounds
Adventure Company where guided trips are also available.
Sea Kayaking Adventure Tours Anakiwa, are also just around the corner at Anakiwa
the end of Queen Charlotte Sound. |

A short trip to Koromiko will take you to a collection of crafts.
Wines that you may have consumed at the many Restaurants of Picton may have come from the Johanneshof Cellars. Blasted 50 meters
into the hill, the wines are matured at a constant 12 degs. Summer tours of the cellar are
available but require booking. |
