From Waihi to Waikino, three times a day the Goldfields Railway will
take you to the Victorian Battery. The largest quartz crushing plant for extraction in
Australasia, capable of crushing over 812 tonnes of ore each day. |

Step into the past here at the Waihi Arts Centre and
Museum. Many Museums in the area depict the Gold rush and the miners way of live, showing
relics and working examples of the period. |

| Waterlily Gardens

Waihi has one of New Zealand's largest Water lily Gardens. 14 acres of
gardens and ponds, with all types of varieties scattered throughout. Take the many
walkways to picnic spots or relax in the Cafe' to an espresso coffee and a light lunch. |
| Hot Mineral Pools
|
Natural mineral Pools just a short drive to the coast. The Athenree Hot
Springs and Holiday Park are open to the public, for you to soak in the therapeutic
natural mineral pools. |
